Do you have any cots?
No Please be advised for the comfort and convenience of the majority of our guests we do not cater for children under the age of 7 years.
Do you accept well behaved groups?
As the majority of our rooms are doubles we are unable to accept large groups
How many rooms have you got?
17 en-suite rooms which include singles, doubles, 2 & 3 person rooms, 3 & 4 person rooms
What different room types do you have?
Single, budget double, premium double, superior double, 2 & 3 person rooms and 3 & 4 person rooms
What are your breakfast times?
Our dining room is open for breakfast between 09.00 & 10.00 am daily, breakfast may be available earlier by prior arrangement.
Do guests get a front door key?
Yes, All guests get their own room key and front door key which you keep with you for the duration of your stay.
Can I park my car with you?
We have a small gated car park to the rear of the hotel, we don't guarantee car parking.
Alternatively we are only a five minute walk from the main council car park. There is unrestricted parking outside the hotel on one side of the street and pay & display parking is available on the sea front which is only a few yards away.
Can I reserve a parking space?
Sorry, no. We do not reserve parking. Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis and is usually enough as some of our guests arrive by train or coach etc.
How much is it likely to cost if I don't get parked with you during busier times?
The pay & display / council car park charges vary, but on average are approx £8.00 for an over night stay.
How far is the train station and how much is a taxi likely to cost?
Taxi prices in Blackpool are very reasonable
Blackpool North train station is approx a 15/20 minute walk and approx £5.00 by taxi
Blackpool South train station is approx a 10/15 minute walk and approx £3.50 by taxi
What are your bar prices?
Our bar prices are set at a competitive level and quoting some of our guests are actually on the cheap side. One guest actually said bloody hell your prices are cheap you should put them up. As we aim to be competitive our prices are subject to wholesale cost and taxes.
Any beer on draft?
Our draught beers are Carling Lager / Grolsch Lager / Worthington Bitter.
What is is your best seller?
Carling and WKD Blue seem popular this year.
What other beers and spirits do you stock?
We have a well stocked bar and carry the following beverages. Beers on draught Carling lager / Grolsch lager / Worthington bitter and a selection of bottled beers, ciders and alcopops, we carry a wide selection of sprits and liqueurs, which include whisky, Smirnoff Vodka, Bacardi Rum, Baileys, Southern Comfort, Jack Daniels, Archers plus cocktails and shots for example.
Would you consider buying specific stock in if requested?
Yes, subject to the length of your stay.
Breakfast - what does it consist of?
We have a wide selection for you to choose from for breakfast from a simple bacon sandwich to our full English which consists of egg, bacon, sausage, hash browns, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms & black pudding optional.
For those of you that may prefer fish for breakfast, we normally have a supply of kippers and mackerel.
Plus a selection of breakfast cereals, fruit juices, teas, coffees, toast and preserves.
Continental, vegetarian and vegan options are available.
Gluten and dairy free breakfasts catered for.
Do you cater for an evening meal? Our dining room is currently not open for evening meals, you may purchase a selection of snacks and meals from our bar menu.

How do we book a snack or a meal?
Please place your order at the bar.
Do you require orders the night before?
No. Our breakfasts and items from the bar menu are all freshly prepared.
Are you child friendly?
Please be advised for the comfort and convenience of the majority of our guests we do not cater for children under the age of 7 years.
We are not a large hotel - We welcome well behaved children and parents who want to control them but we've had a few families who seem to think we're a crèche.
We don't want your children running around unattended. They will usually trip up and injure themselves.
We value the repeat business of our guests who enjoy more peaceful surroundings.
So...if your children can be boisterous and you think that's OK because "after all they're on their holidays" we'd probably prefer you booked elsewhere.
Do you accept stag and hen parties?
Sorry - no we don't. There are many hotels in Blackpool that do.
Can I have a late key?
Yes, of course you can. All guests get their own room key and front door key which you keep with you for the duration of your stay.
Can you get me flowers?
Sure we can - we have a local florist we use but perhaps the easiest way is for you to go through Interflora. The local Interflora is Wilkinsons and they can deliver to us the previous or same day ready for your room when you arrive. Prices start around £20 and can go as high as you like. If you prefer to ring them direct their number is: 01253 299929. If you place an order with them make sure you give them the same name you booked the room in so we know where to put them!!!

Are pets allowed?
Sorry....absolutely no animals due to the fact that some guests are allergic to animal hair / feathers.
Do you allow smoking?
No. Following changes in the law on July 2007 we are now completely non smoking within all areas of the hotel
Are all your rooms non smoking?
Yes. The new Phildene is completely smoke free, however for our guests who do smoke we permit smoking in the outdoor patio area where seating is provided.
What time is check in?
Our normal check in time is from 2 pm, earlier by prior arrangement; an early check in fee may apply.
What time is check out?
You may check out between 08.00 and 10.30 am, a late check out may be available subject to availability and by prior arrangement; a late check out fee may apply.
Can I arrive early and leave late?
Yes by prior arrangement only and subject to availability, an additional charge may apply.
Are you close to the Pleasure Beach?
Yes we are centrally located halfway between the pleasure beach and the town centre / blackpool tower, both are only a short walk away.
Is it OK if I bring a fan for my room?
No need we have sufficient desk fans for all our rooms just request one at reception, there is no hire fee.
How far are you from the coach station?
The coach station is only a short walk away approx 10 mins, however if you have heavy or a lot of luggage you may wish to partake of a taxi which would only cost you approx £5.00. Likewise on departure if you require a taxi, we will call one for you. Please ask at reception
